Seeker's thoughts ...

From Darkness to Light, Dependence to Freedom, Fear to Fearlessness ....

Everything is relative

u don't move away from someone ... u move closer to somebody else
u are not successful/unsuccessful ... u r when compared to others
u are not rich/poor ... u r when compared to others
u are not smart/dumb ... u r when compared to others
beauty is relative ...
smartness is relative ...
prosperity is relative ...
heck even happiness is relative ... when it shouldn't be

Y do we always have to compare our qualities/ success/ intelligence/ happiness/... with someone else's to determine where we stand.

I agree we need a benchmark ... thats what idols are for ... but this comparing business isn't always just limited just to idols ... it moves to comparisons with our superiors and then with our peers and then we get petty satisfaction by comparing ourselves with ppl less priviledged than us in any of these matters. This is a really sad situation to be in.

Comparisons are almost always never healthy ... having idols is fine to an extent ... but the whole idea of relativity in each and every point of life with each and every person we come across is totally uncalled for.
