What stays forever?
Relations dont, people dont and even things dont.
So can the happiness obtained from any of these stay forever ... I would say no.
We only get happiness from these sources as long as these sources exist ... which can be anywhere from a moment to a few tens of years. But eventually these things do come to an end and with it the happiness we got from them.
So is there something like a constant-source happiness ... there can be; if only there was something which would be there forever.
One's soul is something which lasts forever ... and I guess the way we try to find happiness from every thing we might as well try to get happiness from our souls.
Souls can be an endless source of happiness. Endless because it wont cease to exist after a certain period of time and also because you are the one who holds the key to tap into it, so you can get it whenever you want it.
So, are diamonds forever ... I dont know ... but souls ARE definitely forever and infinitely more precious and pleasure-giving.
