Peace of mind
The thing which all of mankind craves ... that thing without which all the possible pleasures of this world are not even worth a dime ... without which friends or money or anything else dont hold any importance ... that's peace of mind.
Friendships lacking peace of mind don't go far, money without peace of mind is a curse and the same is true for any other pleasure-giving source as well. The only thing which can provide peace of mind is peace of mind itself.
How is peace of mind attained? is it attained by doing meditation, by thinking or by going into solitude. Any of these can be the means, but starting point of the journey has to be the decision that I want peace of mind ... rest will follow. Thus only peace of mind can provide peace of mind.
Finally, methinks, the following quote exemplifies peace of mind:
"Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it just means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections ..."
