Never suppress your feelings. Suppressed feelings are the ones that creep up on you unawares and do the most damage.

Letting out your feelings, doing as you feel is not the solution. The correct approach is to "deal" with your feelings. Analyse what is the cause for them, whether they are good for me, should I let them out or should I understand why they came about in the first place and work on that. Feelings are just symptoms for the most part with the real root cause being a completely different entity.

Anger, frustration, depression are all feelings and hence by the above logic, symptoms. Real reasons could be some small/big incident in the past, one's own insecurities, etc. Analyse and treat these reasons instead of dealing with symptoms.

If symptoms are dealt with there will be always be new symptoms coming up and you will spend a lifetime or in some cases a lot more just working those without reaching a resolution. Agreed that root causes are harder to figure out but if they are found and worked on properly the solution is usually simple and permanent.
