Pursue
Life keeps moving on
No matter what we do,
What then, asks one,
Is the need to pursue?
Frankly, the ‘real’ question
Isn’t if we are on the move;
More notably it’s asking -
Is just plain moving a virtue?
And then the one next in line
If previous reply was no,
Is more soul-searching:
Are true strikes ever miscued?
Prudence isn’t in moving,
Rather it’s in direction true
And that’s when I apprehend -
This ‘do’ has no easy undo.
Life keeps moving on
No matter what we do,
What then, asks one,
Is the need to pursue?
Frankly, the ‘real’ question
Isn’t if we are on the move;
More notably it’s asking -
Is just plain moving a virtue?
And then the one next in line
If previous reply was no,
Is more soul-searching:
Are true strikes ever miscued?
Prudence isn’t in moving,
Rather it’s in direction true
And that’s when I apprehend -
This ‘do’ has no easy undo.
